Celebrate the winter holidays with us! Listen in as students share their holiday traditions and send greetings to Dartmouth friends and family around the world from the Green in Hanover. Then enjoy a celebration of the arts featuring Pilobolus, the world-renowned dance troupe, that started at Dartmouth.

Raise a glass in celebration with these cocktail and mocktail recipes!

The Big Green

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces vodka
  • 4 fluid ounces pineapple juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon coarse sugar

Instructions

  1. Add vodka, juice, vanilla, and ice to a shaker.
  2. Shake to chill.
  3. Wet a martini glass rim with lime.
  4. Roll the rim in the coarse sugar to coat the rim.
  5. Strain the cocktail into the glasses and enjoy!
  6. Optional garnish: add a pineapple slice.

Pilobolus Mule

Ingredients

  • 2 oz vodka
  • Fresh cranberries
  • Ginger beer
  • Lime
  • Ice

Instructions

  1. Muddle fresh cranberries in a copper mule mug and fill mug 2/3 of the way with ice.
  2. Add vodka and top with ginger beer and fresh squeezed lime juice.
  3. Garnish with cranberries.

Winter Wonderland

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz vodka
  • .75 oz peppermint schnapps
  • .75 oz white chocolate liqueur
  • Mini candy cane
  • Red sugar

Instructions

  1. Mix and chill ingredients.
  2. Pour into a red sugar-rimmed martini glass.
  3. Garnish with a candy cane hanging on the rim.

Let It Snow Mocktail

Ingredients

1 C half and half 12 oz cream soda 4 tsp. simple syrup 2-4 drops peppermint oil or extract candy canes

Instructions

  1. To prepare the martini rims, lightly coat the rim of your martini cup in simple syrup on a plate.
  2. On another plate, place the crushed candy canes then rim the glasses by dipping the glasses that have been coated in simple syrup into the candy canes.
  3. To make the drink, simply stir together 1 C half and half, 12 oz. cream soda, 4 tsp. simple syrup and 2-4 drops of peppermint oil in a small pitcher.
  4. Pour mixed drink into the candy cane rimmed martini glasses.
