Here in Hanover we have been watching the devastation unfolding in Texas and neighboring communities hit by Hurricane Harvey. Our thoughts are with those who live and work in the impacted areas, including 1,200 alumni and more than 3,000 extended members of the Dartmouth family.

The Alumni Relations office has been in touch with volunteer leaders in the Houston area, and will follow up with them as relief efforts begin. We will work with alumni involved in our Dartmouth organizations, particularly the Dartmouth Club of Houston, to understand the needs of their members. Additionally, the Undergraduate Deans Office reached out to students and families to offer students support for any challenges they may be facing as the fall term nears. A crisis response team is working with those students in need of assistance of any kind. If any students or families have reached out to you, please encourage them to contact Kristi Clemens at kristi.clemens@dartmouth.edu.

One of Dartmouth’s greatest strengths is its alumni network. Please keep your friends and classmates in your thoughts and check in on those you know may be affected by this disaster.
