In Pursuit of Excellence

Dartmouth College Recognizes with Deep Appreciation the Extraordinary Achievements of the

CLASS OF 1968

2016 Special Recognition for Outstanding Outreach

The Class of 1968 is to be congratulated and recognized for its personal and creative efforts to reengage classmates in preparation for their 50th reunion.

In 2016, the Class of 1968 embarked on a personalized, persistent and creative outreach campaign. Through this effort, the Class connected with 100 classmates who had not participated in mini-reunions, submitted dues or contributed to the Dartmouth College Fund. The result: 26 reconnected classmates (nine of whom have thus far committed to attend the 50th reunion in 2018) and a total of 94 classmates attending nine mini-reunions throughout the year.

The Class of 1968 newsletter has also played an important role in the reengagement campaign. The class newsletter, now distributed both in print and by email to reach more classmates, specifically highlights classmates who have not previously sent in news or have not done so in recent years.

Finally, the Class of 1968 has built a meaningful connection to the Class of 2018 through job mentoring and social events. For all these reasons, Dartmouth College is pleased to recognize the Class of 1968 as it prepares for a marvelous 50th reunion celebration that will bring home classmates from all corners of the class.
