Dartmouth College Recognizes with Deep Appreciation the Extraordinary Achievements of the

Class of 1992
2017 Reunion Class of the Year – Honorable Mention

The Class of 1992 is a well-oiled machine that continues to innovate and set records, all in the spirit of collaboration.

In order to more closely align with the priorities of both the class and the College, the class took the bold step of restructuring its organization by separating officers into four subgroups: leadership, communication, community, and service.

With a steady focus on its communications strategy, the class utilizes Google alerts to flag classmates in the news, stresses collaboration between all officers involved in communications, and issues a “Year in Review” newsletter that highlights updates and photos shared by classmates during the annual 92nd Day of the Year virtual mini-reunion.

’92s continue to support the class and the College through dues participation and Dartmouth College Fund giving. The class, which hosted a “What Your Dues Do” session during Reunion, has seen steady increases in the number of dues payers over the past five years. Further, the class won three Dartmouth College Fund awards: Class of 1948 Award for the highest reunion dollar multiple; Class of 1964 Award for the greatest number of reunion 1769 Society members; and the Centennial Circle of Alumnae Class Award for the greatest number of new Centennial Circle members.

The class invoked memories of its past to celebrate its present. Classmates were reacquainted with treasures they had left in a time capsule 25 years ago. They recreated their Homecoming bonfire – the “Standing Bonfire” that never fell – in the form of a six-foot replica, which was finally toppled.

For these accomplishments, the Dartmouth Class Officers Association Executive Board is honored to give an honorable mention to the Class of 1992.
