The Daniel Webster Professor at Dartmouth, William C. Wohlforth’s areas of research concern the dynamics of world power relations and U.S. and Russian foreign policy. His talk, “End of the ‘American Century?’ Ukraine and the Future of U.S. Foreign Policy,” will integrate these issues to address debates over Ukraine, American decline, and the perceived crisis besetting U.S. foreign policy.

A professor of government at Dartmouth since 2000, Wohlforth is a scholar of U.S. foreign policy and Russian relations from the Cold War to the contemporary era. He has edited and written dozens of articles and six books, most recently Status in World Politics. He teaches such classes as Leadership and Grand Strategy, Russian Foreign Policy, and Violence & Security.

The afternoon will include a discussion via Skype with Oleg Prokhorenko ’02, an associate principal at McKinsey and Company. Prokhorenko is currently based in the McKinsey office in Kyiv, Ukraine.
