Juliette Bianco ’94
Interim Director
Hood Museum of Art

Join Juliette Bianco ’94, interim director of the Hood Museum of Art at Dartmouth College, and explore the Barnes Foundation in its new 4.5-acre site in downtown Philadelphia, where it moved in 2012.

Designed by the noted architects Tod Williams and Billie Tsien, the Barnes Foundation building has been praised by critics for offering a modern, brightly lit setting for the Barnes Collection, which includes works by some of the greatest European and American masters of impressionism, post-impressionism, and early modern art, as well as African sculpture, Pennsylvania German decorative arts, Native American textiles, and metalwork.

Bianco, who after Dartmouth studied at the University of Chicago and the Getty Leadership Institute, has worked at the Hood since 1995 and curated dozens of exhibitions. In addition to her curatorial work, she is known for her presentations at national and international conferences on the role played by college museums in exploring diversity and creating transformative curricular engagement.
