The next time you receive your copy of Dartmouth Alumni Magazine, you'll be looking at the best in the business. DAM was named the 2008 Grand Gold Medal Robert Sibley Magazine of the Year by the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education. The magazine was chosen for this year's top prize from a field of 219 competitors. This is the fifth Sibley for DAM, which has won the award in 1993, 1991, 1949, and 1943.

“Our readers look to us for a balanced take on what's happening at Dartmouth and throughout the alumni body,” said Sean Plottner, DAM editor. “The most fulfilling feedback from readers comes when they tell us how credible they find the magazine. We've waded in to cover the controversies but clung to our journalistic mission to be as objective as possible.

"Alumni also provide a wealth of stories for us to tell, and they show Dartmouth's impact in the world and allow us to present the varied yet unique DNA of Dartmouth throughout our pages,” said Plottner.
