The Dartmouth Club of Dallas

We are thrilled to recognize the Dartmouth Club of Dallas as the Medium Club of the Year.

In serving the Dartmouth alumni community of Dallas, this Club has emphasized not only novel event programming but also fundraising and supporting students.

The Club collaborated with Dartmouth on activities in the city including a family-friendly outing to the Dallas Zoo with Professor Jeremy DeSilva and an event with Coach Buddy Teevens ’79 which attracted roughly 110 alumni, parents, students, and friends. In addition, the Club continues to host a widely attended send-off party for new Dartmouth students and their families and large gatherings around telecasts and for the holidays.  Working in close partnership with area District Enrollment Directors (DEDs) and alumni interviewers from Dartmouth’s Admissions Ambassador Program, they have been successful in holding a widely attended interviewing day and sponsoring an increased number of book awards in local high schools (reaching a new record of nineteen this past year!).

In the past year the Club greatly expanded fundraising for its scholarship fund. Club leadership used a significant matching gift as an incentive to encourage additional leadership gifts and highlighted the role the scholarship fund plays in support of Dartmouth students from the Dallas area. The Club continues to promote the fund and is strategically recruiting volunteer leaders to help expand the financial support offered by the Club.

In recognition of the Club’s level of activity and renewed focus on supporting Dartmouth students both through interviewing and programmatic and financial support, we are proud to present the Medium Club of the Year Award to the Dartmouth Club of Dallas.
